Early Black Friday Furniture Sales Have Started — Where to Shop for Design-Forward Investment Pieces, Without The Price Tag
This is where I'm shopping smarter, not harder
Finally! Early Black Friday furniture sales have started. Or at least, many of Livingetc's favorite furniture brands have begun to drop deals and announce the official dates of their Black Friday sales.
I spend most of my working week scouring these brands for new releases, unmissable pieces and, of course, price reductions. My first priority as a Style Editor is always quality and aesthetics, but, hey, even the highest paid people I know love a furniture deal. So if there’s something that’s been sitting on your wishlist — maybe a sofa bed for the spare room or that accent chair you’ve been eyeing — or you want to discover well-designed furniture on sale, this is where to come.
When it comes to home deals, we all know speed is key. To help you navigate the noise, I’ve created shortcuts to the best furniture deals, flagged the top times of the year to shop, and highlighted a few discounted pieces that are already on my radar. I'll keep this page up to date so you can hit the Black Friday furniture sales hard.

Today's Best Early Black Friday Furniture Deals
Cutting a very similar silhouette to Swiss architect Pierre Jeanneret's now iconic rattan chair, this beauty from Rejuvenation boasts a frame made of durable American hardwood — solid walnut, to be exact. It would work particularly well in a more minimalist setting, or perhaps somewhere a bulkier-style armchair might not be able to squeeze. The good news is, if you love the look, it also comes in a black ash finish. But hurry, both these styles are almost sold out!
With its plush, legless design, this 'sleeper' sofa is giving me groovy but in a good way. Very reminiscent of the Togo sofa, it feels at the same time minimal while making quite the statement. It's also available in a zesty Orange, Indigo, and Black, as well as in light brown recycled leather. It easily snaps back into a fully reclined position and reviewers are quick to comment on how good it looks in real life. Throw on a few pillows for styling, or drape a throw over one end and you've got yourself a classically cool piece you may even want to put in the main living area.
Love the look of marble coffee tables but not how much they cost! This coffee table could be exactly what you're looking for. Constructed from a durable MDF, it won't be as hard to look after as marble and weighs way less too. It also comes in a white and grey marble-look, but the black definitely looks the most realistic. Its round 31.4-inch table top means it's great for smaller spaces, and won't obstruct the flow of the space.
When Do Black Friday Furniture Sales Start?
Black Friday furniture sales officially start on November 29th in 2024, but we are already seeing deals, whether termed as "flash deals" or "early Black Friday deals" beginning to drop, with many furniture retailers updating and launching their Black Friday sale pages right now.
Are Black Friday Furniture Sales Any Good?
"Black Friday furniture sales can see huge discounts, typically between 30 to 50% and often up to 70% as retailers begin to unload end-of-season or end-of-line products in the run up to Christmas," says Lindsey Davis, Ecommerce Content Director at Livingetc. "If you've been saving up for the best sofa you can afford, the Black Friday furniture sales are a good opportunity to get a meaningful discount, for example — in other words, you can either save money, or trade up on quality or style because of the savings on offer.
"My advice is to do your research in advance if you are shopping the sales for larger pieces of furniture. Put the items you know you'd ideally buy at a discount in the store's online shopping basket and watch prices drop in the run up to Black Friday, ready to press 'buy now' when they hit your budget.
"We tend to see prices on furniture and across all other homeware categories, really drop in the week or so before Black Friday itself, so it's worth shopping early before prices go back up again or stocks run out."
When is the Best Time To Get a Furniture Deal?
Furniture sales often come with big markdowns, so it's well worth your time to make a note in your diary of when the best recurring sale events happen. While the Black Friday and Cyber Monday, on November 29th and December 2nd in 2024 respectively, are often the best times to get a huge discount, other major furniture sales fall on Amazon Prime Day, which takes place in mid-July, around Labor Day, 4th of July and Memorial Day. While not all exclusively furniture sales, these events throughout the year are all a great opportunity to pick up a piece you've been eyeing up for a discount.
Is Memorial Day a Good Day for Furniture Sales?
The Memorial Day sales are a great opportunity to purchase furniture pieces for a fraction of their original price. Not only do retailers subscribing to the sale offer major markdowns, but Memorial Day also marks the beginning of summer, meaning a lot of brands use this sale as an opportunity to clear stock for the new season ahead. With extended sale periods often offered and both in-store and online opportunities, Memorial Day is a great day for sales!
When Are the Memorial Day Furniture Sales?
The Memorial Day sales event should typically take place on the last Monday of May every year. As that has already been and gone in 2024, the next date to look out for is Monday, 26th May 2025. Many retailers, however, extend their sale periods well before and after this date, so it's wise to keep a watch for furniture sales relating to Memorial Day all throughout May.
