Black Friday takes place on November 28th this year, though Pottery Barn, like many major retailers, tends to start their Black Friday sales early. Their sale also typically evolves into Cyber Monday deals post the official Black Friday event, with deals of up to 50% off most categories, so we anticipate much the same for 2025!

Pottery Barn's Black Friday deals are really good, with big discounts across all categories: "It's a great time to get a deal on larger pieces of furniture, such as some of the best sofas you can find at a major retailer, through to more interchangeable décor — look out for bedding deals in particular.

"Pottery Barn Black Friday deals and after-Christmas deals can be priced fairly similarly," says Lucy Searle, Content Director for Audience at Livingetc. "The difference is in the breadth of the offer. During Pottery Barn Black Friday sales, you're typically going to get anything left from the fall sales plus items the retailer thinks they have a good chance of selling before Christmas, whether as gifts or for homeowners or renters who are hosting, for example.

"Post-Christmas, you will still see some great deals, but the range of products on offer might well be narrower, though you will see some price reductions on end-of-season or end-of-line collections, plus of course holiday collections. My advice would be that if you see something you want in the Pottery Barn Black Friday sale at a price you can afford, you should buy it because it may be gone by the after-Christmas sale."

Does Pottery Barn Have A Martin Luther King Day Sale?

"Typically, Pottery Barn does have an MLK Day sale, with past discounts at around 20% across major categories," says Lindsey Davis, content director for homes ecommerce. "That is not quite as competitive as the pricing we see around the Black Friday sale, which offers discounts of around 50% but it is still a worthy reduction worth checking out if you are looking to shop end-of-line winter or seasonal buys on the weekend before and around January 20th in 2025."
