IKEA’s new multifunctional table is as functional as it is fashionable
You need to know about this WFH solution that is good for the office – and even greater in the kitchen
You may already admire IKEA for its stylish versatility – but they have just reset their bar with their new Håverud table.
The piece, which includes a table and four stools, celebrates everything you may love about the Swedish chain – most significantly, its interchangeable durability. Yes, you can make the Håverud work in every room of the home – without sacrificing your stylish scheme.
The piece in question has many functions, from its hanging storage and container on the storage ladder – to the smooth melamine tabletop with a dark wood look. The Håverud’s functionality also makes it the perfect canvas for your next IKEA hack – if you crave a change from its rich wood aesthetic.
So what else do you need to know about our hottest new IKEA crush? The product is a result of a partnership between the Scandi-cool label and a group of design students who aimed to create a table that evolves into a hub for all domestic activities. The Håverud is as much a dining table as it is a home office – whilst pairing as a storage space where you can hang your favorite artworks, clothes, or plants.
Plus, if you choose to invest in the Håverud for its storage qualities, IKEA suggests picking up their NEREBY container, HULTARP hooks, NORDRANA hanging storage, and CHILISTRÅN hanging planter, that work particularly effortlessly with the table.
‘You can choose to sit or stand. Whatever is most comfortable while you eat, work, study, prepare food, tend to your herbs, chat with friends, or anything else you like to do around the table,’ IKEA says in the discussion of their modern kitchen idea.
The powerhouse adds that they have tested the accompanying bar stools for durability – so you can rest easy that your investment will see you from Christmas cocktails to summer souries and far beyond. However, to guarantee your Håverud stays the talk of your house party, IKEA recommends re-tightening the screws where necessary.
