IKEA has given the SYMFONISK speaker lamp a stunning makeover
The revamped SYMFONISK table lamp is a smart multi-tasking interior decor wonder
IKEA and Sonos have just revealed a new SYMFONISK table lamp – following the success of their original speaker in 2019. The Scandinavian powerhouse has worked alongside the American audio giants to create an even better sound experience and customizable designs that will elevate a contemporary home.
But what else makes SYMFONISK one of the best smart speakers on the market? IKEA and Sonos reveal that the lamp not only looks good – but makes you feel good too. This comes after the duo drew from the positive impact of light to lift your mood as the nights start to feel longer.
With these benefits in mind, they designed SYMFONISK as a ‘deeply personal’ speaker that allows consumers to reset their preferences in terms of volume, brightness, type, and genre at any time.
This is the modern decor idea that combines the functionality of a smart lamp with a smart speaker – and looks ever-so stylish in the process.
Unlike the original model, the latest SYMFONISK is divided into a separate lamp base and speaker lampshade, which are sold separately to allow for complete personalization.
You can choose between a black or white version of the lamp base – as well as two lampshades in contrasting styles and colors: a textile or glass lampshade, in either black or white. The SYMFONISK Speaker lamp base with WiFi retails at $140 USD, while the Glass Shade is $39 and the Textile Shade is $29.
So, thanks to IKEA, your monochromatic living room ideas are accommodated long after the sun goes down.

‘Since launching the first SYMFONISK table lamp speaker, we learned a lot about how and where they are being used. For example, a lot of people use the lamp speaker on a nightstand, which led us to create a new, slightly smaller lamp base,’ explains the product owner at IKEA of Sweden, Stjepan Begic.
‘We’re now also offering customers more design choices, making the lamp speaker a better fit for their individual homes. By integrating a speaker into a table lamp, we can save space, decrease clutter, and create an atmosphere with both light and sound,’ Stjepan adds.
From October 12, 2021, the new SYMFONISK table lamp speaker will be available in IKEA US stores, online, and in select markets in Europe. It will reach all IKEA markets in 2022.
