Livingetc's edit of Next's home collection is an on-trend trove of beautifully curated design
Covering living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, the Livingetc edit will help you create a considered and well-crafted home

We love to champion wise buys here at Livingetc, and know that good design can come with an affordable price tag. It’s about the mix, the placement, and having the confidence to know what works. So we were excited to sift through the Next Home collection and pull together a selection of pieces to elevate your decor. From the reeded sideboards of Next's Piano collection, shown above, to the beautiful vases atop it, from beds to sofas to rugs to abstract candlesticks, our edit works because each piece has its own personality, elegance, and is designed to the highest quality by Next’s in-house team.
Dream bedroom design

Marble Side Table, £125; Hamilton Velvet Quilted Bedspread from £50; Soft Mohair Throw from £30; Extra Large Arch Mirror £250; Piano Light Luxe 3 Drawer Chest, £599; Ceramic Vase, £35; Cushions from £8; Feather Rug from £140; Chalky Emulsion Pentland Paint by Craig & Rose, £38
There’s a true breadth of range at Next Home. It’s here you’ll find everything from larger pieces of furniture to accessories, textiles to lighting, and a selection of exciting home brands like Harlequin, Bloomingville and Smeg.
In our edit we've picked out some key designs that cover bedrooms, living rooms and dining rooms, and were so impressed with the detailing, quality and style of all the designs we considered. Take this Art Deco bed, above. Covered in Next's 100% Egyptian cotton charcoal bedding it fits perfectly with the qualities we believe the perfect bed should have - as comfortable as it is cool. Headboards should always be padded - ideal for sitting up against for long, lazy mornings in bed. Here, the scalloped edge, matched to the rug, is so contemporary, adding a real design statement to the piece.
The gold side table - which, incidentally, is in the same family as the one used as a coffee table in the living area at the top of the page - brings a gleam of excitement to the otherwise subdued tones seen here, lifting the entire scheme so that it suddenly feels quite glamorous, too.
Deco Bed in Opulent Velvet Grey from £550; 100% Egyptian Cotton Bedset in Charcoal from £50; Hamilton Velvet Quilted Bedspread from £50; Soft Mohair Throw from £30; Extra Large Arch Mirror, £250; Piano Light Luxe 3 Drawer Chest, £599;
Ceramic Vase, £35; Grey Bobble Cushion, £20; Floral Cushion, £18; Black Square Cushion, £8; Rectangular Pom Pom Cushion, £8; Chalky Emulsion Pentland Paint by Craig & Rose, £38
The perfect way to entertain
Astoria 6-seater dining table, £725; Iva dining chairs in Opulent Velvet Steel, £196 for set of 2; Logan reactive 12-piece dinner set in Brown, £48; Pom pom place mats, £14 for set of 4; Charcoal linen napkins, £10 for set of 4; Barrett Smoke wine glasses, £26 for set of 4; Barrett tumbler glasses, £18 for set of 4; Celeste 16-piece stainless-steel cutlery set, £45; Marble star trivet, £18; Spiral taper candles, £8 for set of 2; Christmas bauble set, from £12; Bloomingville Black candle holder, £44; LSA International Gio carafe and stopper, £32
In this relaxed yet chic dining area, the patina of the table top is so rich and intriguing, the swirls creating a real feel of artistry. You can tell how well made this table is, it feels like a piece that will last a lifetime.
And with their curved backs, the chairs are very cocooning - they’re smart without being overly formal or rigid. By picking such a plush fabric you’re adding an element of softness which contrasts perfectly with the hard edges of the table, creating that all important mix.
Hamilton dining chairs in Petrol Blue, £310 for set of 2; Glass candlestick holders, £10 for set of 2; Spiral taper candles, £8 for set of 4; Gold and black vase, £28; Paisley Amber wine glasses, £22 for set of 4; Piano drinks cabinet, £750; Teal reactive vase, £35; White pleated ceramic vase, £28; wall in Payne’s Grey chalky emulsion by Craig & Rose, £38 for 2.5ltr
In this close up image you can see the attention that has gone into the detail of each design. From the reeded mango wood of the drinks cabinet to the quilted fabric of the chair, each piece is considered, crafted and curated.

Living for our edit of the Next Home collection
Piano two-door sideboard, £899; Handle ceramic vase, £28; Glass candlestick holder, £35; Mylo chair in Charcoal Boucle, £275; Maxwell geo rug, from £60-£164; wall in Zeitgeist chalky emulsion by Craig & Rose, £38 for 2.5ltr
The Piano cabinetry range makes an appearance in our living room edit too - can you tell how much we love these pieces? It's just so elegant, its marble top the ideal place on which to display objects.
Piano 2 Door Sideboard, £899; Handle Ceramic Vase, £28;
Bloomingville Glass Vase, £57; LSA Pleat Vase, £36; Nero Table Light, £75; Glass Candle Stick Holders, £35; Mylo Chair in Charcoal Boucle, £275; Maxwell Geo Rug from £60-£164; Pebble Mirror, £150; Gold and Marble Coffee Table, £185; Marlowe Sofa, £599; Bourton Floor Lamp, £110; Marble and Gold Nest of 2 Tables, £160; Chalky Emulsion Zeitgeist Paint by Craig & Rose, £30
Elsewhere in the living room, we’re all about curved edges at the moment, as they seem so much more welcoming than straight lines, so much more like you want to sink into them. The Marlowe sofa and Mylo chair envelop you, allowing you to curl up with your feet under you for hours - just the mood we’re craving right now.
The unexpected pop of red in the rugs is just the sort of colour burst we love - it works because its just as sumptuous a shade as the charcoal of the sofa and chair. When pairing unexpected shades, always look for a common factor, perhaps they’re both really bright, or both greyed out, as long as they have something to link them.
