Roddy Clarke

Design Journalist and Presenter

Roddy Clarke is a design writer crossing the worlds of interiors, design and architecture. With his father being a restorer of fine china and porcelain, Roddy fell in love with the art of restoration from a very early age before going on to work within the sector for five years managing multiple fine art, flooring and furniture restoration projects. After moving to London, his passion and eye for interiors allowed him to become an interior stylist before moving into the world of journalism, writing an online column for the London Evening Standard

Since then, Roddy has worked with a range of publications from the Weekend FT, Forbes, ICON Magazine and Elle Decoration to name a few. Over the last decade, Roddy has hosted an array of panel talks and events across the industry as well as presenting industry conferences such as the Sustainable Design Show. Drawing on his background in restoration and being a graduate of Cambridge University’s Institute for Sustainability Leadership, Roddy specialises in topics such as circularity, responsible design and the presence of traditional craft in a contemporary society, while also consulting with brands to help them navigate their way to a greener future through transparent and honest communication.
