Collab Alert: Kelly Hoppen X Disney
Interiors icon Kelly Hoppen MBE has unveiled an unexpected collaboration withDisney to celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday.
This year marks nine decades since the much-loved technicolour mouse's first appearance in Steamboat Willie on 18th November 1928, and to celebrate Disney has worked together withKelly Hoppen ona unique and diverse collection of wall coverings, rugs and bedding.
It's an unlikely collaboration fromthe queen of chic neutral interiors, who hasintroduced Mickey to her signature neutral palette, putting her own twist on the number of designs.
The collaboration comprises three core collections, all featuring Mickey Mouse; a range of bespoke rugs created by Persian rug specialist Essie, brand new murals and wallpaper prints with Graham & Brown, and a Mickey bedding collection designed by Hoppen for QVC.
Launching this month, thenew range of striking murals and wallpaper designs, produced by Graham & Brown, features four mural and four wallpaper designs, each in a range of different colourways.
With these prints, Hoppen wanted to do something never done before, and bring Mickey to a grown-up audience while still maintaining his youthful charm.
Whether cheerfully jumping through a bold houndstooth print, cheekily pulling aside Kelly’s signature taupe runners, or quietly marching behind-the-scenes, the tongue-in-cheek collection reflects the identities of both Mickey and the renowned interior designer.
